Match the Film to the Actual Cup

Traditional yogurt cups may have different flange widths, rim profiles and sealing surfaces. These details affect seal consistency and opening performance.

Please provide:

• Cup sample and flange drawing
• Cup material and actual sealing-surface material
• Cup diameter, flange width and available sealing area
• Yogurt type, fill temperature and chilled-storage conditions
• Sealing-machine type, available heat, pressure and dwell settings
• Existing lidding-film sample, if available

Define the Required Opening Experience

An easy-open yogurt lid can have different requirements. Before confirming the film structure and lid design, specify whether consumers should peel a tabbed lid, tear along a defined direction, remove the lid completely, or open the cup after chilled storage.

The final result depends on the complete packaging system: cup flange, sealing layer, film structure, lidding artwork and heat-sealing conditions. Validate opening performance on finished chilled cups.

Test the selected film on the actual cup with representative yogurt and real filling conditions. Review seal consistency, print registration, film feeding, pack appearance after cooling, opening path, rim cleanliness and distribution performance.

Record the cup version, film version, artwork revision and machine settings for each trial.
